SWTCH selected by EPB of Chattanooga to enhance access to EV charging in Southeast Tennessee
BOSTON, MA – February 18, 2026 – SWTCH Energy, a leader in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions, today announced its partnership with EPB of Chattanooga to deploy networked Level 2 and DC Fast EV chargers and provide comprehensive charging management across EPB’s service territory in Chattanooga and Hamilton County, Tennessee, as part of EPB’s Charge ON Program.
The project will see SWTCH supplying and managing the charging infrastructure. The system will be powered by SWTCH’s advanced solution, offering features such as remote monitoring, advanced energy management, charging session analytics and real-time reporting.
SWTCH’s solution is purpose-built for EPB, providing a branded experience with custom mobile apps and RFID cards. It also delivers software control and visibility for EPB’s internal teams, supports NACS through secure adapters, and offers flexible Wi-Fi-based network connectivity, using the world’s fastest community-wide internet operated by EPB. In addition, SWTCH will offer optional features such as Demand Response to support EPB’s goal of increasing power reliability for all of the energy leader’s customers on the nation’s most advanced automated grid.
“We are incredibly excited to partner with the EPB of Chattanooga to help expand EV charging infrastructure and support its broader sustainability initiatives,” said Brandon Terrazas, Business Development Manager at SWTCH. “This collaboration underscores SWTCH’s commitment to enabling public power providers to maintain full ownership and branding of their EV charging programs. With SWTCH, EPB has the flexibility, control, and advanced features necessary to build a reliable and future-proof EV charging network for the communities it serves.”
These stations will support both public, workplace, and fleet users, enabling Chattanooga and surrounding communities to access reliable EV charging without dependency on national charging brands.
This strategic partnership reinforces SWTCH’s growing presence in the Southeastern United States and highlights its role in empowering public utilities to lead the transition to electric transportation.
