SWTCH Energy and Parking Boss Partner to Deliver Seamless EV Charging and Parking Management for Multifamily Communities
This integration enables residents to access parking spots and activate EV charging with a single NFC card tap, while giving property managers unprecedented stall-level control
[BOSTON, MA – June 15, 2026] — SWTCH Energy, a North American EV charging leader advancing scalable charging infrastructure, today announced a partnership with Parking Boss™, the community parking management platform from Community Boss™, to deliver a fully integrated EV charging and parking access experience for apartment and condo communities.
The integration connects SWTCH’s smart EV chargers directly with Parking Boss NFC Boss Tags™ — access cards that allow residents to start or stop charging sessions with SWTCH, meaning no separate app, no second account, and no friction.
For residents, the experience is simple. The integration connects SWTCH’s smart EV chargers directly with Parking Boss’ NFC Boss Tags, allowing residents to start or stop EV charging sessions via near field communication (NFC).
“Making EV charging more accessible starts with making it easier to use,” said Fabiola Gonzalez, product manager at SWTCH Energy. “When charging becomes a seamless part of the everyday resident experience, communities are better positioned to support EV adoption at scale.”
For property managers, the integration delivers stall-level enforcement. Each SWTCH charger is configured to respond only to its assigned, authorized Boss Tag. This means designated EV charging stalls are reserved exclusively for the permitted resident, preventing unauthorized power consumption, eliminating charger loitering, and ensuring EV infrastructure is used exactly as intended.
For property managers, the integration provides seamless stall-level management through the Parking Boss app. Managers can easily assign a SWTCH charger to a resident’s authorized Community Boss NFC Boss Tag, ensuring that only the designated cardholder can activate charging at that stall. The result is better access control, reduced unauthorized power consumption, less charger loitering, and more efficient use of EV charging infrastructure.
A persistent challenge in multifamily EV charging has been the fragmentation of systems — residents juggling separate apps and credentials just to park and charge. This integration eliminates that overlap entirely.
“Our mission is to make parking work better for residential communities, and EV Chargers are a big part of that future.” said Nathan LeMesurier, Co-Founder at Community Boss.
With Community Boss serving hundreds of residential properties across North America and SWTCH powering EV charging at thousands of multifamily and commercial locations, this partnership brings together two industry leaders focused on modernizing the resident experience.
Together, SWTCH and Community Boss are making EV charging more accessible, manageable, and convenient for both residents and property managers. To learn more, please visit https://swtchenergy.com/ and https://www.communityboss.com/parkingboss.
