Here's how it works

Homeowners from coast-to-coast are eligible to join and get a free home EV charger plus earn 3 cents per kWh just for charging up at home normally:

All Canadian homeowners are eligible to join the program and will receive a free Joint Tech level 2 home EV charging station.

Upon signing up, participants are required to make an initial deposit of $300.

Once your cumulative home charging sessions have consumed 3,000 kWh of electricity, your full $300 deposit will be refunded back to you.

We will ship your new Joint Tech EV charger to your home. All you need to do is work with an electrician to get it installed.

Simply connect your charger to your home WiFi, then use the SWTCH Home app (link coming soon!) to connect it to our network and start tracking your earnings and energy consumption.

Once you start using your charger, you will begin to earn 3 cents for every kWh you charge. Once your account has accumulated $100, you will receive that amount as a direct deposit into your bank account.

The money you earn comes from Canada’s nationwide carbon credit program, which is designed to encourage the installation and use of clean energy technology like EV chargers.
