SWTCH Partners with FoundationCCC to Simplify EV Charging Procurement Across California’s Educational and Civic Institutions
PCC-Approved Contract Simplifies EV Charging Procurement for Institutions across California through CollegeBuys, SchoolBuys, and CivicBuys
SWTCH is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC). For the next five years, community colleges, state universities, K-12 schools, and civic organizations will be able to adopt SWTCH EV charging solutions without undergoing a lengthy RFP process, significantly streamlining the adoption of sustainable transportation infrastructure. The charging solutions will also be offered at a preferred rate, ensuring cost efficiency in addition to the efficient procurement process.
Contracts processed via this program adhere to California’s Public Contract Code (PCC), and SWTCH EV charging solutions are now available through the FoundationCCC’s CollegeBuys, SchoolBuys, and CivicBuys programs.
Are you curious about how you can take advantage of it? Here’s what you need to know about how the program works and how we can help kickstart your EV charging journey.
Simplified Procurement for Fast, Efficient EV Charging Deployment
Our partnership with FoundationCCC aims to enable colleges, universities, and civic buildings across California to deploy EV charging solutions more rapidly, benefiting their students, employees, and visitors.
To enable this, the FoundationCCC and SWTCH have delivered a partnership agreement that adheres to one of California’s highest contract standards. This agreement allows institutions to avoid time-consuming RFPs and makes it much easier for institutions with limited time and budgets to get to work on purchasing and installing EV infrastructure.
The program is supported by FoundationCCC, based on a thorough evaluation process to ensure the technology meets high-quality standards and complies with all state requirements.
More Sustainable and Efficient EV Charging Solutions for Educational and Civic Institutions
SWTCH’s EV charging technology is tailored to the specific needs of educational and civic institutions, providing turnkey solutions that include:
- Flexible Access Management: Our chargers offer RFID tags and digital account access with customizable permissions, making it easy to enable and manage access for staff, students, and visitors.
- Optimized for Existing Electrical Infrastructure: Many institutions have limited excess electrical capacity. SWTCH’s advanced energy management software helps you install and operate more charging stations without significant electrical upgrades—ideal for retrofitting older facilities.
- Cost-Effective Energy Management: Our solutions use load management technology to ensure EV charging never pushes your overall energy usage to the point that you incur excess demand charges. It’s a critical technology for keeping costs down even when your EV chargers get a lot of consistent use.
